About Khaylah
Khaylah Wade is a supply chain and logistics professional with extensive experience in operations support, supply management, and employee development. A Navy veteran, Khaylah began her logistics career in 2015 as a Logistics Specialist in the U.S. Navy, where she developed a strong foundation in supply operations, leadership, and problem-solving. After transitioning to the civilian sector, she continued to build her expertise through supply chain management at DePaul Hospital and progressively advancing roles at Sunset Transportation, where she currently serves as a Team Lead in Operations Support.
Khaylah earned her bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Materials, and Supply Chain Management from Lindenwood University in 2022 and is pursuing a Master of Arts in Leadership at the same institution. She is also a member of the National Society of Leadership and Success and the Student Veteran Organization. Her professional strengths include collaborative problem-solving, analytical thinking, decision-making, effective communication, and time management. Khaylah is particularly passionate about process improvement, employee development, and creating clear structures that help teams work effectively and support organizational growth.
Beyond her professional achievements, Khaylah is committed to continuous growth and inspiring others to pursue their goals. Her leadership philosophy has been shaped by her military service and the mentors and leaders who have guided her throughout her career. 01What do you attribute your success to?
I attribute my success to the leaders and mentors who have guided and supported me throughout my career. Their experience, encouragement, and example have shaped my growth and helped me become the professional I am today.
02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
The best career advice I’ve received is to advocate for myself, speak up about opportunities, and confidently share ideas for improving processes in the workplace.
03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
My advice to young women entering the industry is to never dismiss your ambition and, most importantly, never give up on yourself. Believe in your abilities, pursue your goals with confidence, and remain persistent even when challenges arise.
04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
My field currently faces challenges organizational politics, particularly within the traditionally male-dominated supply chain industry. At the same time, these challenges create opportunities for women to bring new perspectives, demonstrate leadership, and help drive positive change.
05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
The values that matter most to me in both my work and personal life are integrity, honor, courage, and commitment. These principles guide how I make decisions, treat others, and approach challenges.
