Her Story

About Khrystyna

I've built careers across continents — and they all connect.

Born in Ukraine, I started out managing social media for public figures, musicians, and influencers — building audiences and shaping how people are perceived online. I brought that same instinct to New York, where I've worked as a growth and brand strategy leader across healthcare, tech, and lifestyle. My approach has always been organic: no ad spend, just content that earns attention. Across the brands I've led, I've grown accounts to over 100,000 followers and consistently produced content that breaks into the millions of views.

My work has been covered by The Wall Street Journal, The Times, Good Morning America, and NBC News, among others. I also write about digital strategy and AI marketing for Inkl, The AI Journal, and Hackernoon.

Alongside that, I spent the last year making Nina's Files — a spy thriller series I wrote, directed, acted in, and edited with 35 volunteers and no budget. It won two honorable mentions at film festivals in 2025.

Her Interview

Ten minutes with Khrystyna

01What do you attribute your success to?

Two things. First, the people around me — my family, who have never stopped showing up for me across the distance, and everyone who believed in me at moments when I wasn't sure I believed in myself. I wouldn't be here without them.

And second, I think being thrown into unfamiliar environments my whole life taught me to figure things out fast. New country, new language, new industry — I never had the option of waiting until I felt ready. That turns out to be a pretty useful skill.

02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?

Do what you can with what you have, wherever you are.

I've moved countries, started over more than once, and built things from scratch with almost nothing. That advice is the reason I never waited for perfect conditions — because they never come.

03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

Just start. You'll be surprised how much support is out there from people you'd never expect. You're never as alone as you think — there's always someone who's been through the same thing, or someone who's ready to show up for you.

And never be afraid to ask. If you don't ask, the answer is always no. If you do, it might be yes.

04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?

The biggest challenge has been building credibility as an immigrant in a new country. English is my third language — I started speaking it for the first time in 2023. That background made everything harder at first, but it also made me more resilient, and honestly, it's become part of what sets me apart.

As for opportunities — they're everywhere. We live in a world where the barriers to creating, building, and being seen have never been lower. If you have something to say and the drive to say it, there's nothing stopping you. I genuinely believe that.

05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

Honesty — with yourself first. When you're true to who you are, it shows in everything you create. That's what makes stories resonate and work feel meaningful. Everything else follows from that.
