Kiara Carrion
Kiara Carrion is a multidisciplinary creative and entrepreneur whose work bridges fashion, performance, and advocacy. She is the designer and founder of KITARA, a fashion art brand specializing in couture bras and corsets, and the founder of Kitara’s Angels, an initiative that creates opportunities for young women to model during New York Fashion Week. With a background in marketing and women’s entrepreneurship, Kiara blends artistic vision with business strategy to build platforms that celebrate confidence, creativity, and self-expression. In addition to her work in fashion, Kiara is a professional performer and athlete. She is a former New York Knicks City Dancer, and her performance career spans dance, music, and acting. As a professional, a dancer, guitarist and singer. She also serves as a certified fitness instructor through Les Mills, using movement and wellness as tools to empower women to feel strong, capable, and confident in their bodies. Kiara is deeply committed to advocacy and community impact. As a T.E.A.L. Ambassador (Tell Every Amazing Lady About Ovarian Cancer), she uses her platform to raise awareness and support women affected by Ovarian Cancer. Across fashion, fitness and the performing arts, Kiara is driven by a mission to uplift others, amplify women’s voices, and create spaces where creativity and purpose intersect. Currently, she is working on a girl group project with 3 other members. The musical Pop/R&B group has creatives and advocates who represent the next wave of female pop culture.

What do you attribute your success to?
My success is attributed to someone very special whom since the age of 4 has believed and supported all of my dreams, my Mom. Her beliefs in the importance of work ethics and responsibilities coupled with values and morals have guided me to become the successful woman I am today.
What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
The best career advice I have ever received, was to make the most out of every oppportunity that comes your way. No matter how small, each one is an experience and an opportunity to learn something new.
What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
My advice to young women entering this industry is to prepare thoroughly and seek out a mentor who believes in you. Take the time to explore the different paths available, choose the one that excites you most, and stay focused and consistent. Success comes from researching your chosen path, learning as much as you can, and maintaining persistence. Build your skills intentionally and stay committed to your goals.
What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
The biggest opportunities in my field right now are in social media marketing. It has opened avenues for creatives to explore and produce amazing work.
What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
The values that guide me both professionally and personally are respect, strong morals, and empathy. I strive to treat everyone with dignity, make decisions grounded in integrity, and approach situations with understanding and compassion. These principles shape how I collaborate, lead, and connect with others every day.
