Her Story

About Kim

Kim Bachstein is the CEO and Founder of BrandBabe.ai, a digital marketing and branding firm helping corporate leaders, entrepreneurs, and creators transform their ideas into income-generating brands through AI-driven content strategy and digital systems. Now leading her third entrepreneurial venture after successfully building and selling two prior businesses, Kim draws on a diverse professional background spanning operations management, sales leadership, and national account management to guide her clients toward stronger visibility and engagement. Under her leadership, BrandBabe.ai has developed tailored marketing strategies that have driven a 40% increase in client conversions, all while fostering a collaborative, remote-first team culture built around shared goals rather than competition. Describing herself as a master connector, Kim believes that lasting business success comes from authentic relationships rather than transactional sales tactics. She takes the time to understand the people behind the brands she works with, weaving together traditional relationship-building with modern digital marketing and emerging AI technology to help clients create meaningful, lasting connections with their audiences. This philosophy was shaped in part by mentors who taught her the value of treating people well, staying true to her own worth, and thoroughly preparing for every opportunity — lessons she credits with sustaining her through multiple ventures and industries. Kim holds a Bachelor of Business Management, and her contributions to the business community earned her a 40 Under 40 Award through the Business Chamber. She remains active in professional circles including BNI, local chamber events, and several LinkedIn networking groups. Beyond her business pursuits, Kim has spent nearly two decades running Angels Care Funding, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit that supports Syracuse-area families through food and clothing donations and connections to local pantries and churches — a reflection of her enduring belief that professional achievement should always create room to give back.

Her Interview

Ten minutes with Kim

01What do you attribute your success to?

I attribute my success to building relationships rooted in trust, empathy, and authenticity rather than pursuing transactional sales. I take the time to genuinely understand my clients' brands and the lives behind them, which allows me to form real connections instead of surface-level partnerships. I've also learned that kindness and effectiveness can coexist, and that treating people with respect is one of the most powerful advantages I bring to my business.

02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?

One of my former bosses taught me the 7 Ps: "Prior Proper Planning Prevents Poor Performance." That principle has stayed with me throughout my career and continues to shape how I prepare for and approach every business decision I make.

03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

I encourage young women to believe in themselves and to intentionally surround themselves with people from different backgrounds and perspectives. Build relationships with those who genuinely support your goals, and trust your intuition along the way. It's also important to understand your own boundaries — remember that "no" can be a complete sentence.

04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?

The AI digital economy is projected to generate over $500 billion within the next five years, which represents a tremendous opportunity for those willing to learn and leverage AI early. The challenge and the opportunity go hand in hand: staying ahead requires continuously learning and adapting emerging technology into authentic brand-building strategies before the space becomes saturated.

05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

Trust, empathy, and authenticity guide everything I do, both professionally and personally. I believe genuine connection creates stronger relationships and more sustainable results than any purely transactional approach. Continuous learning and personal growth matter deeply to me as well — I measure my success by how much I continue to grow, not just by titles or financial milestones.
