About Kim
Kim Herrlein is an entrepreneur, hospitality innovator, and transformational coach whose career blends hospitality, design, and personal development. Based in Indio, California, she has spent more than a decade building and managing luxury vacation rentals and boutique hotels, including co-owning and operating The Fainting Couch: Maximalist Boutique Hotel, a distinctive 20-room property known for its immersive design and fully contactless guest experience. Through her hospitality ventures, she has pioneered virtual front desk solutions and operational systems that help boutique hotels deliver exceptional guest service while maximizing efficiency. Earlier in her career, she produced music festivals and worked as a real estate investor, experiences that shaped her entrepreneurial mindset.
Alongside her hospitality career, Kim is dedicated to helping individuals and entrepreneurs create lives and businesses that reflect their authentic purpose. As a certified creative facilitator trained in Stanford-affiliated programs, she teaches the Clarity Catalyst Journey and Creative Action Journey while mentoring aspiring leaders around the world. She is also the creator of the trademarked Golden Thread Spiral™ framework, which integrates creativity, business alignment, and personal transformation to help clients overcome limiting beliefs and lead with intention. As a facilitator and ambassador for the Connect for Success Mastermind, she empowers women entrepreneurs through mentorship, collaboration, and community.

01What do you attribute your success to?
I attribute my success to staying true to my purpose of creating meaningful connections and helping people grow. By embracing creativity, innovation, and authenticity, I've been able to bring together my passions for hospitality, entrepreneurship, and transformational coaching to create experiences that inspire, empower, and make a lasting impact.
02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
The best career advice I've received is to lead with purpose and embrace collaboration over competition. My mentors taught me that meaningful success comes from continuous learning, building authentic relationships, and empowering others to reach their full potential.
03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
My advice is to be present, trust your journey, and never let age or experience limit your ambitions. Every season of life offers opportunities to learn, grow, and create something meaningful. Stay open to new possibilities, keep moving forward, and remember that the right opportunities often come when you're willing to embrace them.
04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
One of the biggest opportunities in my field is using innovation and technology to create more meaningful, personalized experiences while improving efficiency. I also see tremendous potential in helping individuals—especially women—overcome limiting beliefs, embrace authenticity, and lead with confidence through collaboration, creativity, and mentorship.
05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
The values that matter most to me are authenticity, alignment, creativity, and unconditional love. I believe true success comes from living in harmony with who you are, making intentional choices, and approaching both work and life with compassion, resilience, and purpose. These values guide how I lead, create, and help others grow.
