Q

What do you attribute your success to?

God's favor and blessings.

Q

What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

My advice to young women entering this industry is to first discern your true calling and align your career choices with it. I also believe in leaning on the support of family and mentors, and being mindful of timing when considering advanced degrees or major career transitions. Thoughtful planning and a strong support network can make all the difference in navigating your professional journey successfully.

Q

What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?

The biggest challenges in my field involve the health insurance industry. APRNs are not reimbursed at the same rate as physicians, yet statistics continue to show that nursing continues to hold the prize for most trusted profession. APRNs help alleviate access shortages to healthcare as the physician shortage continues to grow. It's time to recognize that APRNs aren't "second-string" providers. We are rhe MVPs!

Q

What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

Faith first. Always. Then family.
