What do you attribute your success to?
I attribute my success to a combination of personal commitment, lived experience, and ongoing learning. My work focuses on supporting women over 40 through recovery-based wellness approaches that address stress, tension, and body awareness, helping them cultivate balance and vitality. My own journey through perimenopause and menopause, combined with self-directed study, mentorship from my spiritual guide, and long-term persistence as an entrepreneur, has shaped both my expertise and my approach to empowering others.
What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
The best career advice I’ve ever received came from my spiritual mentor, Janice Grier: prioritize time for yourself, establish healthy boundaries, and seek guidance that blends both faith and practical solutions. This advice has been instrumental in helping me navigate challenges and maintain balance in both my personal and professional life.
What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
My advice to young women entering this field is to educate yourself about women’s health across all life stages. Be intentional in your lifestyle choices, set healthy boundaries, prioritize self-care, and cultivate a strong support network and community around you.
What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
One of the biggest challenges in my field is that mainstream medical education provides very limited focus on perimenopause and menopause, leaving many women without the support they need. At the same time, there is a tremendous opportunity to fill this gap by creating boutique studios, offering monthly educational “sister circle” programs, developing wellness products like herbs, teas, and supplements, and hosting retreats—building community and delivering targeted care for women over 40.
What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
The values most important to me in both my work and personal life are balance, mindfulness, empowerment, and community. In my practice, I combine yoga, targeted stretch therapy, and practical wellness coaching to help women reduce pain, re-center, and build sustainable daily self-care habits. Outside of work, I stay active and connected to my body through pole fitness, aerial arts, and dance. Faith, prayer, body awareness, service, and setting healthy boundaries also guide how I live and work, helping me nurture both myself and the communities I serve.
