What do you attribute your success to?
I attribute my success to my commitment to helping others. Throughout my career, putting people first—whether patients, colleagues, or healthcare teams—has guided every decision I make and shaped the impact I strive to have.
What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
My advice to young women entering this industry is to remember that nursing extends far beyond traditional bedside care. This field offers countless pathways—clinical, educational, administrative, and industry-facing—and each one has the potential to support both your professional growth and your family. Don’t be afraid to explore opportunities that align with your strengths and passions.
What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
The values most important to me—in both my work and personal life—center around supporting patients and their families. Oncology is my passion, and earning my Oncology Certified Nurse (OCN) credential in 2017 is one of my proudest accomplishments. Maintaining this certification through rigorous continuing education every four years has challenged me in ways even more demanding than the nursing boards, but it reflects my deep commitment to staying prepared, knowledgeable, and capable of truly serving those who place their trust in us.
