Her Interview
Ten minutes with Kristen
01What do you attribute your success to?
I attribute my success to taking on challenges others avoided, building cross-functional expertise across product, marketing, and governance, and embracing an entrepreneurial mindset that allowed me to leverage AI and innovation early. That and just being driven to excel, constantly learn, and assist others.
02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
Treat everyone like a customer.
03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
My advice to young women entering this industry is to stay curious, keep learning, and embrace change. Don’t wait for everything to be clear before exploring new technologies like AI.
Focus on solving real business problems, build your knowledge, and create a culture of experimentation and innovation.
The leaders who adapt responsibly and continuously learn will be the ones who make the greatest impact.
04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
One of the biggest challenges in my field is the misconception that organizations are ready for AI agents before they have a strong understanding of generative AI. While AI presents tremendous opportunities, successful adoption requires thoughtful governance, strategic planning, and a clear understanding of both its potential and risks. The greatest opportunity lies in helping businesses navigate this transformation responsibly—moving beyond the hype to create meaningful value through AI innovation.
05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
The values most important to me are honesty, direct communication, and a commitment to solving problems. I believe in being straightforward, staying focused, and approaching challenges with determination. My direct style and ability to stay solution-oriented have often been key strengths, earning me the reputation of being a strong problem solver who gets results.
