About Kristen

Kristen Williams is the Collision Center Parts Manager at Space City Toyota in Humble, Texas, where she oversees parts ordering, inventory management, and sourcing for a Toyota Certified collision center serving the greater Houston market. With nearly a decade of experience in automotive collision repair and dealership operations, she plays a vital role in ensuring technicians have the right parts to complete repairs efficiently while maintaining the highest manufacturer standards for safety and quality. Her expertise extends across all vehicle makes and models, and she is committed to helping return customers' vehicles to the road promptly and safely. Kristen's journey into the automotive industry reflects resilience, determination, and a passion for continuous learning. After spending more than a decade as a stay-at-home parent, she reentered the workforce as a Parts Sales Manager at AutoZone before transitioning into collision repair with Caliber Collision. There, hands-on mentorship and extensive manufacturer training helped her build expertise in parts management, estimates, and collision operations, including work in a luxury repair center servicing Tesla vehicles. Today, she is both Tesla Parts Certified and Toyota Master Certified, having completed numerous manufacturer training courses. Her dedication and work ethic earned her a nomination for her dealership's Heart & Hustle Award. Known for her integrity, transparency, honesty, patience, and strong communication skills, Kristen believes that every repair should be approached as though the vehicle belongs to a member of her own family. She credits much of her success to the unwavering support of her wife, family, and mentors who encouraged her throughout her career transition. A passionate advocate for women in the automotive industry, Kristen encourages the next generation to pursue technical and leadership opportunities with confidence. Outside of work, she enjoys photography and finds relaxation in detailing and cleaning her car, while taking the greatest pride in seeing her team safely return repaired vehicles to their owners.

Ten minutes with Kristen

01What do you attribute your success to?

I attribute my success to having a strong support system. My family, especially my wife, has been my greatest source of encouragement and stability. After going through some difficult relationships and relocating from Austin to Houston, I found a place where I could truly build a life. Knowing that I have someone who supports me unconditionally—someone I can talk to without fear of judgment, whether I'm celebrating a win or working through a tough day—has been a tremendous source of strength and motivation.

02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?

The best career advice I've ever received is: Don't let the tough days win. Every career comes with challenges, but it's important to stay focused, keep moving forward, and remember that difficult days are temporary.

03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

Learn to be intentional with your time off and don't be afraid to protect it. Rest is essential, not optional. Taking care of yourself allows you to show up as your best, both professionally and personally, and helps prevent burnout over the long term.

04What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

The values that guide me most are integrity, transparency, honesty, patience, and communication. I believe trust is built through honesty and clear communication, while patience and integrity help create strong relationships and a positive environment both at work and at home.
