I attribute my success to the lessons learned through the school of hard knocks and the values instilled in me by the way I was raised. Growing up in an environment that emphasized resilience, perseverance, and adaptability shaped my work ethic and determination. These experiences taught me to embrace challenges, learn from setbacks, and consistently strive for excellence in every endeavor.
What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
The best career advice I’ve ever received is to surround myself with people who are smarter than I am. Being in the company of talented, knowledgeable individuals challenges me to grow, broadens my perspective, and pushes me to continuously improve. It has reinforced the value of collaboration, mentorship, and learning from those who bring diverse skills and insights to the table.
What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
My advice to young women entering my industry is to remember that hard work always amplifies talent—without effort, even the greatest talent cannot achieve its full potential. Success comes from dedication, persistence, and a willingness to go above and beyond, consistently showing up and putting in the work required to grow and excel. Combining natural ability with relentless effort is what truly sets you apart.
What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
One of the biggest challenges I faced in my field was not having a support system growing up. However, as I progressed, I made a conscious effort to seek out mentors and build a strong network of guidance and encouragement. This experience taught me the value of perseverance and resourcefulness—never giving up, even when support isn’t immediately available, can turn challenges into opportunities for growth and success.

The values most important to me in both my work and personal life are integrity and strong character. I believe in being honest, accountable, and consistent in my actions, and I strive to approach every situation with fairness and respect. These principles guide my decisions, shape my relationships, and form the foundation of the trust I build with others.
