01What do you attribute your success to?
I attribute my success to faith, resilience, consistency, and purpose. My journey has not been perfect, but every challenge has helped shape me into a stronger woman, mother, and leader. I have learned how to keep showing up through pressure, adapt when things do not go as planned, and trust the vision even when the full path is not clear. I also credit my family, my children, and the people who have poured wisdom, encouragement, and guidance into me along the way. Success for me is not just about achievement; it is about growth, impact, and building a legacy that creates opportunity beyond myself.
02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
The best career advice I have ever received is to stop waiting for perfect conditions before taking action. Preparation matters, but perfection can delay purpose. As an entrepreneur, I have learned that growth often happens when you are willing to move forward with faith, strategy, and discipline, even when everything is not fully figured out. That advice has helped me build confidence, trust my voice, and continue growing as a leader. It reminds me that I do not have to be perfect to be powerful, and I do not have to have every answer before taking the next step.
03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
The advice I would give to young women entering this industry is to stay teachable, stay confident, and do not wait for permission to take up space. Business development, consulting, and public-sector work can feel intimidating at first because there is so much to learn; from strategy and compliance to relationships, operations, and positioning. But every expert started somewhere.
I would encourage young women to ask questions, seek mentorship, build strong systems, and trust that their voice and perspective have value. Do not allow fear, comparison, or lack of experience to stop you from starting. Preparation is important, but confidence grows through action. Stay disciplined, protect your vision, and remember that you can still be learning while also being powerful, capable, and influential.
04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
One of the biggest challenges in my field is that many small businesses have the talent and capability to compete for larger opportunities, but they do not always have the structure, access, or strategy needed to position themselves properly. In business development, consulting, and government procurement, success requires more than having a service, it requires compliance, documentation, relationships, pricing strategy, and professional presentation.
At the same time, that challenge creates a major opportunity. There is a growing need for companies that can help bridge the gap between small businesses, public-sector opportunities, corporate partnerships, and community impact. I believe this is where Hyer Enterprise Group has room to continue growing; by helping create access, structure, and solutions that are both professional and purpose-driven.
05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
The values most important to me are integrity, faith, family, resilience, accountability, and legacy. Personally, I believe in staying grounded, being genuine, and showing up for the people I love. My family is a major part of my purpose and one of the biggest reasons I continue to push forward.
Professionally, I value excellence, follow-through, and doing business with intention. I believe your name, your word, and your work ethic matter. Whether I am leading a team, serving a client, or building a business relationship, I want people to experience professionalism, honesty, and purpose in the way I operate.
At the core, I want both my life and my work to reflect growth, service, and impact. Success is meaningful to me when it creates opportunity, opens doors, and contributes to something that lasts beyond myself.

As the Founder and Chief Operating Officer of Hyer Enterprise Group, I have had to learn how to build while still growing. I have had to make decisions under pressure, develop structure while operating within the business, and continue showing up professionally even during seasons when life behind the scenes was not always easy. That experience has shaped me into the woman and leader I am today.
Hyer Enterprise Group was created with a larger vision in mind. I did not want to build a company that only served the moment. I wanted to build something with purpose, structure, and long-term impact. Our work focuses on business development, consulting, government procurement, and operational support services, but at its core, our mission is about creating access and opportunity.
Many small businesses have the talent, skills, and capabilities to compete at higher levels, but they do not always have the structure, strategy, or guidance needed to get there. I understand that gap because I have lived through the process of learning, building, correcting, and positioning in real time.
Perfection Can Delay Purpose
One of the biggest lessons I have learned is that you cannot wait for perfect conditions before taking action. Preparation matters, but perfection can delay purpose. There will always be something that needs improvement. There will always be another resource you wish you had, another credential you are working toward, or another level of confidence you are trying to build.
But growth comes through movement.
Every proposal, partnership, client relationship, challenge, and setback has taught me something valuable. I have learned the importance of integrity, follow-through, documentation, communication, and resilience. I have also learned that leadership is not just about having a title. It is about taking responsibility, making hard decisions, and continuing to move the vision forward when things are not easy.
Building for Legacy, Stability, and Impact
As a woman and a mother, my purpose is deeply personal. My family is one of the biggest reasons I continue to push forward. I am not only building for professional success; I am building for legacy, stability, and impact. I want my children and other young women to see that it is possible to grow, lead, and create opportunities even when the journey does not look perfect.
I also want women to understand that they do not need permission to take up space. Your voice matters. Your perspective matters. Your story matters.

Influence, to me, is not about perfection. It is about purpose. It is about using your experiences, your lessons, and your platform to create impact beyond yourself.
