What do you attribute your success to?
I attribute my success to a combination of tenacity, creativity, and the unwavering support of my family. My faith in the strength of community has guided me through challenges, and I’ve always relied on a healthy dose of humor to keep perspective and stay resilient.
What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
The best career advice I’ve ever received is to be authentically myself. I’ve also learned the importance of staying open to possibilities and not being afraid to pivot when opportunities or challenges call for it.
What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
I would tell young women entering my industry that they are worthy—no matter what. It’s important to trust your own vision, learn to discern what feels truly aligned for you, and cultivate inner stability as the foundation for your professional choices. The hashtag I use in all my work: #youmatter is to remind everyone, including myself that we do!
What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
One of the biggest challenges in my field right now is helping people truly understand the scope of what I do. As a woman, there’s also the ongoing challenge of establishing legitimacy and expanding my reach in a space where recognition can be hard-earned. At the same time, the fast pace and high demand present opportunities to make a meaningful impact, even if there never seem to be enough hours in the day.
What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
The values that are most important to me in both my work and personal life are love, joy, integrity and a sense of fun. I also place great importance on faith and trust in the universe, as well as understanding that rejection is often a form of protection guiding me toward the right path.
