Lavanya Thati is an accomplished Cloud and DevOps leader with over eight years of experience designing, deploying, and optimizing secure, reliable, and cost-efficient cloud infrastructure. She currently serves as the Senior Lead – Cloud & DevOps Manager at Bectran, Inc., where she oversees AWS environments, CI/CD automation, AI-driven observability, and DevSecOps compliance. What do you attribute your success to?
I attribute my success to my mother, who as a single mom always pushed me to do my best, and to my own determination to follow my path—I originally wanted to become a doctor but chose engineering, and I’ve now been thriving in this role for over eight years.

The best career advice I’ve ever received is that I can achieve anything I put my mind to, as long as I keep setting goals and never stop trying.

My advice to young women entering this industry is that you can do anything a man can do—sometimes even better—so believe in yourself and your abilities.

The biggest challenge and opportunity in my field right now is achieving a strong work-life balance—excelling professionally while also making time for family and personal well-being.
