Her Interview
Ten minutes with Leann
01What do you attribute your success to?
I attribute my success to my faith and the values my parents taught me about doing good works and helping others. Those principles have shaped the way I approach both my professional and personal life. I am also grateful for the support of friends who share similar faith-based values and encourage me along the way.
02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
The best career advice I have received is that “everything is figureoutable.” That mindset has taught me to approach challenges as problems that can be worked through rather than reasons to stop. It has encouraged me to remain resourceful, persistent, and focused on finding a path forward.
03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
I would encourage young women entering business and consulting to remain curious, adaptable, and willing to learn. Build relationships, seek out mentors, ask questions, and do not be afraid to take on challenges that stretch your abilities. When problems arise, remember that there is usually a way forward—everything is figureoutable.
04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
One of the biggest challenges in business today is maintaining focus in a rapidly changing environment. There is a tremendous amount of information, activity, and competing priorities that can create noise and make it difficult to stay focused on what matters most. I believe an important opportunity is to help businesses identify their priorities, remain intentional, and build practical strategies that keep them moving toward their goals despite constant change.
05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
Faith is the most important value in my personal life. It provides me with moral guidance and confidence and influences how I approach my relationships, decisions, and work. I also value helping others, doing good work, and using my experience and abilities to support the people and organizations I serve.
