Her Story

About Leeann

Leeann Fore is a healthcare executive and registered nurse with nearly two decades of experience leading clinical operations, hospice care, and quality improvement initiatives. As Vice President of Clinical Operations at Anchor Health, she oversees hospice and palliative care services across Northern and Southern California, guiding multidisciplinary teams dedicated to delivering compassionate, patient-centered care. Her expertise spans clinical operations, regulatory compliance, quality assurance and performance improvement (QAPI), staff development, and healthcare operations management. Throughout her career, Leeann has remained committed to strengthening healthcare organizations by fostering clinical excellence while ensuring patients and families receive the highest standard of care during life's most challenging moments.

Leeann's path into healthcare was inspired by caring for her grandparents, an experience that motivated her to leave a career in accounting and pursue nursing. She has since held progressive leadership positions, including RN Case Manager, Nursing Supervisor, Quality Assurance Director, Director of Health Services, and now executive leadership at Anchor Health. Her responsibilities include overseeing regulatory compliance, operational planning, budgeting, policy development, staff education, and quality improvement for hospice programs serving hundreds of patients. Widely respected for her collaborative leadership style, Leeann believes the true measure of success is not personal recognition but helping others grow. She takes particular pride in mentoring healthcare professionals who have advanced into leadership roles, earned fellowships, and received professional excellence awards under her guidance.

Beyond her executive responsibilities, Leeann is passionate about advancing the future of healthcare through prevention and whole-person wellness. She is developing a functional health and longevity practice focused on disease prevention, personalized health strategies, nutrition, and lifestyle interventions that empower individuals to improve their long-term well-being. Guided by values of compassion, servant leadership, continuous learning, integrity, collaboration, and work-life balance, she believes exceptional organizations are built by investing in people and creating supportive environments where both caregivers and patients can thrive. Through her leadership, mentorship, and vision for preventive healthcare, Leeann continues to make a meaningful impact on the healthcare profession and the communities she serves.

Her Interview

Ten minutes with Leeann

01What do you attribute your success to?

I attribute my success to genuinely caring about people and investing in the growth of those around me. I believe strong leadership is built on supporting others, listening to their ideas, creating opportunities for development, and fostering a culture where everyone feels valued, empowered, and motivated to succeed.

02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?

One of the best pieces of career advice I’ve received has come from Christy Keith, CEO of Anchor Health, who has been an influential mentor throughout my career. Working alongside her over the years has shaped my leadership style and reinforced the importance of embracing innovation, pursuing continuous professional growth, and leading with a servant’s heart.

03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

My advice to young women entering this industry is to lead with compassion and never underestimate the importance of supporting the people around you. Invest in your team, protect their well-being, and encourage a healthy work-life balance—especially in nursing, where it’s easy to take on too much and experience burnout. Create an environment where people feel heard, supported through the learning process, and empowered to grow. Strong leadership is about caring for others while helping them succeed.

04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?

One of the biggest challenges in healthcare today is adapting to ongoing regulatory changes while addressing workforce shortages and maintaining high-quality patient care. At the same time, I see tremendous opportunities in preventative medicine, functional health, and innovative care models that prioritize long-term wellness rather than simply treating illness. By embracing these advancements and supporting healthcare professionals, we can improve patient outcomes and build a more sustainable future for healthcare.

05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

The values that guide me both personally and professionally are compassion, integrity, servant leadership, continuous learning, collaboration, and maintaining a healthy work-life balance. I believe strong organizations are built by supporting and empowering employees, encouraging innovation, and keeping patient care at the center of every decision.

Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my family, hiking, traveling, and exploring new places. I'm passionate about health, wellness, and longevity, and I enjoy learning about ways to help people improve their quality of life through preventative care, healthy lifestyles, and innovative approaches to well-being.
