About Leigh Anne
Leigh Strauchon is a National Account Manager at Monro, where she leads enterprise account management, client engagement, store education, and program implementation across approximately 1,100 locations. With more than 20 years of retail experience and about five years in the automotive industry, Leigh has built a career centered on relationship management, operational excellence, and developing people. In her current role, she focuses on fleet services and preventative maintenance solutions for B2B clients, helping drive strategic growth while ensuring teams have the tools and support needed to deliver results. Her experience spans account management, business development, operations, and program leadership, including previous roles with Monro, Dealer Tire, and Pulse consulting firm.
Before entering the automotive industry, Leigh developed her leadership foundation through successful retail careers with Starbucks and Sephora. During her nearly nine years with Starbucks and four years with Sephora, she held leadership positions including store manager, operations leader, and store director, earning multiple Manager of the Quarter and top regional performance recognitions. Her background also includes overseeing complex operations in healthcare services and leading initiatives focused on process improvement, customer experience, and team development. Leigh’s approach to leadership is shaped by hands-on experience and the belief that putting people first creates stronger teams and better outcomes.
Grounded in her faith, a commitment to continuous learning, and a willingness to embrace feedback, Leigh attributes her success to staying open, listening actively, and maintaining a results-oriented mindset. She encourages women entering the automotive industry to lead with kindness, clearly define their goals, develop technical knowledge, and build networks that support their growth. Outside of her professional work, Leigh enjoys volunteering with inner-city schools and serving through her church. 01What do you attribute your success to?
I attribute my success to my faith, my willingness to remain open to feedback, and my commitment to putting people first. I also believe a results-oriented mindset has been essential in helping me set goals, overcome challenges, and deliver meaningful outcomes throughout my career.
02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
The best career advice I’ve received is, “Put your people first.” That advice, shared by a trainer named Alvia, has stayed with me throughout my career and reinforced the importance of supporting, developing, and valuing the people around me. I also believe feedback is a gift and an opportunity to learn, grow, and become a stronger leader.
03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
I would encourage young women to lead with kindness, know their goals, and be confident in communicating their ambitions. It’s important to build technical knowledge so you can engage effectively with experts in the field and earn credibility. I also encourage women to seek out networks and organizations that support and empower women in the automotive industry.
04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
One of the biggest challenges in our field is finding and retaining the right talent and ensuring people are placed in roles where they can succeed. At the same time, there are significant opportunities for growth through strategic positioning, market expansion, and acquiring new opportunities to strengthen our presence. By understanding our talent needs and empowering the right people, we can continue to build a stronger organization.
05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
The values that are most important to me are treating others with respect, putting people first, maintaining my faith, and practicing active listening. I believe strong relationships are built through compassion, trust, and a genuine commitment to understanding and supporting others. These values guide the way I lead and interact with people both professionally and personally.
