Her Story

About Lindsay

Lindsay O'Connor is a healthcare and medical technology leader whose career spans clinical practice, education, and commercial leadership within the peripheral vascular space. She currently serves as Vascular Area Service Manager at Medtronic, where she oversees clinical strategy and execution for a peripheral vascular business, leading a team of more than 20 clinical specialists across Florida and Georgia. Her path into the industry began in radiologic technology, followed by nearly a decade working in interventional radiology and cardiac cath labs, before she moved into medical device sales and clinical leadership roughly four years ago. Since joining Medtronic, she has advanced steadily through roles of increasing scope, most recently being named Area Service Manager of the Year for fiscal year 2026, an honor recognized before roughly 400 colleagues at the company's national sales meeting. Lindsay pairs clinical credibility with strong business acumen, holding ARRT and RCIS certifications alongside dual master's degrees in radiation sciences and business administration, achievements she pursued while working full-time and, notably, during pregnancy. Her leadership philosophy centers on accountability, collaboration, and ongoing development, and she works closely with sales leadership to translate broader business priorities into effective execution in the field. She is especially focused on building high-performing teams, strengthening physician partnerships, and helping her organization evolve from a purely procedural support function into one that is strategically and commercially engaged. As part of this commitment to growth, she is an active participant in Medtronic's Aspire Employee Resource Group, which supports the advancement of women in leadership. Much of Lindsay's drive traces back to her upbringing by a single mother whose determination and work ethic left a lasting impression on her. That influence, combined with guidance from mentors who pushed her to grow beyond her comfort zone, has shaped both her career trajectory and the advice she now shares with others: master your craft, build meaningful relationships, seek strong mentorship, and don't wait to feel fully ready before pursuing the next opportunity. Outside of her professional life, Lindsay is a devoted wife and mother of three who enjoys supporting her children in soccer and karate, along with spending time as a family traveling, hiking, and reading. Looking ahead, she values the chance to connect with other accomplished women, seeing community and shared experience as a way to keep learning and to encourage others to pursue opportunities even amid uncertainty.

Her Interview

Ten minutes with Lindsay

01What do you attribute your success to?

I attribute my success to the way I was raised. My mother was a single parent who worked tirelessly to provide for my brother and me, and watching her do that taught me the value of hard work at a young age. That upbringing instilled in me a deep sense of resilience that continues to drive me today.

02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?

The best advice I've received is not to wait until I feel completely ready before pursuing the next opportunity. Some of the most significant growth in my career has come from saying yes to roles that stretched me beyond my comfort zone, even when I didn't yet feel prepared for them.

03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

I encourage young women to master their craft and become truly skilled at what they do. Building strong relationships, finding good mentors, asking questions, and using your voice are all essential. Don't wait for someone else to tell you that you're ready — advocate for yourself, seek out opportunities that challenge you, stay committed to learning, and be willing to raise your hand when an opportunity presents itself.

04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?

One of the biggest challenges—and opportunities—in the peripheral vascular space is balancing rapid innovation with adoption. With so many technologies entering the market, the challenge is no longer simply introducing something new, but demonstrating meaningful value and creating sustainable adoption. I believe the greatest opportunity lies in strong clinical education, meaningful partnership with physicians and healthcare systems, and ensuring that innovation ultimately translates into better outcomes for patients.

05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

Accountability, integrity, and continuous development are values that guide me professionally. I believe the strongest teams take ownership of their results while always looking for ways to grow. Personally, perseverance and family are just as central to who I am, shaping how I show up as a leader, a wife, and a mother.
