Lindsey Deal brings nearly a decade of experience in providing support to chief executive officers across both public and private sectors. After a dedicated tenure of about ten years as a stay-at-home mother, she re-entered the workforce as a single mother and began her professional journey at Tiffany and Bosco, where she supported the managing attorney. This role presented significant challenges and served as a transformative experience, greatly advancing her professional development and nurturing a profound interest in executive-level responsibilities. Since that initial position, Ms. Deal has successfully transitioned from operational functions to the sales domain of business development, assuming a range of responsibilities in collaboration with the CEO and C-suite executives. 01What do you attribute your success to?
I attribute my success in corporate America to a combination of factors that have helped me navigate workplace challenges. First and foremost, I believe in the power of resilience. Facing obstacles, whether related to balancing my professional and personal responsibilities, has taught me the importance of perseverance and adaptability. Building a strong network has also been crucial. I’ve actively sought out mentors and allies who have provided guidance, support, and advocacy. Surrounding myself with a diverse group of colleagues has enriched my perspective and opened doors to new opportunities. Moreover, continuous learning has played a significant role in my success. I’ve embraced professional development opportunities, whether through formal education or by seeking feedback and coaching. Staying current with industry trends and skills has allowed me to contribute meaningfully and confidently in my role. Lastly, I attribute my success to staying true to my values. I prioritize integrity and authenticity in my work, believing that fostering genuine relationships and leading with empathy not only helps build a positive work culture but also drives results. The most valuable career advice I have received is to avoid superficial engagement in tasks and to consistently uphold a sense of urgency coupled with meticulous attention to detail.
03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
It is essential to focus on support from those who truly champion your efforts. Throughout your journey, you may encounter more criticism than praise. In the corporate environment, particularly as women, we sometimes face additional challenges, including competition among ourselves. It is crucial to work diligently, maintain a strong sense of self-respect, communicate clearly, advocate for your needs, and cultivate self-confidence. Also, remember that experiencing failure is acceptable; it signifies that you are diligently striving to achieve your goals.

Throughout my journey, I have identified several core values that significantly enhance both my professional and personal life. First and foremost, integrity serves as a foundational principle for me. I firmly believe that honesty and transparency foster trust, which is essential for effective collaboration within teams. I take pride in my work and the values I uphold. Respect is equally crucial. By recognizing and appreciating my colleagues' diverse backgrounds and perspectives, we not only strengthen teamwork but also catalyze innovation and cultivate a more inclusive environment. Throughout my life, I have encountered a variety of challenges and obstacles. However, what consistently inspires me is the remarkable perseverance demonstrated by women across the globe. Their incredible resilience serves as a powerful reminder of the strength inherent in overcoming adversity. Historically, extraordinary women have displayed remarkable fortitude by successfully navigating severe hardships, showcasing their inner strength as shining examples for all. I am profoundly moved by the significant impact these women have made in our world, illustrating the extraordinary power of courage and determination.
- Helen Keller: After losing both her sight and hearing at just 19 months old, she refused to be defined by her circumstances. Her journey to mastering communication, earning a college degree, and becoming a powerful advocate for individuals with disabilities is awe-inspiring.
- Malala Yousafzai: After bravely surviving an assassination attempt for advocating for girls' education in Pakistan, she emerged as the youngest recipient of the Nobel Peace Prize—an inspiring symbol of resilience and the transformative power of education.

As I reflect on their legacies, I'm fascinated by our own resilience. A thought-provoking article in Femtech from August 2025 explored the biological factors contributing to women's longevity compared to men. With two X chromosomes, women's tissues often appear biologically "younger," and studies on mice suggest these chromosomes might enhance memory and longevity. Additionally, the gene KDM6A, present at higher levels in females, plays a crucial role in protecting brain cells from toxins. These findings highlight the unique biological strengths women possess.
Scientific research indicates that while our immune systems naturally decline with age, women often experience this process more slowly. Key immune cells, such as CD4 T cells and natural killer (NK) cells, not only remain stable but may increase, providing vital protection.
