At Project Write Now, I do a lot of different things. I am a teacher, first and foremost, and that's my favorite role here. I manage all the registration, do a lot of email correspondence, handle the social media, and serve as the PWN Teen program director, managing all the teen programs. This work is perfect for me because it's all about writing, and I get to write at work, which is amazing. One of my proudest achievements from this past year was starting something called True Colors in Red Bank, a celebration event for LGBTQ voices in partnership with Monmouth Arts. We had almost 40 people show up. I'm also proud of establishing our partnership with Catsbury Park, where I teach a couple of programs now each year. I've had the honor of winning a silver medal from the Scholastic Art and Writing Awards in 2019 when one of our teens won the silver award. My educational background includes an English degree from Brookdale Community College, a bachelor's in English with a concentration in creative writing from Montclair State University, and a master's in creative writing from Goddard College in Vermont. Outside of work, I'm working on a novel and I create visual art including paintings and drawings. I'm also a self-described "crazy cat lady" who volunteers with Catsbury Park on the side and attends every cat event around town.
