About Lyndsey
Lyndsey Williams serves as a Superintendent at Holder Construction, where she leads construction operations and oversees the successful execution of complex projects. With nearly eight years of experience in the construction industry, she has built a strong foundation in field management, project coordination, safety leadership, and team development. Lyndsey earned her Bachelor of Science in Construction Science from Texas A&M University, where her initial interest in the program was inspired by her passion for historical preservation and understanding the design, restoration, and evolution of structures. Through her academic journey and hands-on experiences, she developed a deeper appreciation for construction processes, materials, project management, and the collaborative efforts required to transform concepts and designs into completed projects.
In her role at Holder Construction, Lyndsey is responsible for managing project schedules, interpreting drawings and specifications, coordinating subcontractors, maintaining quality and safety standards, and ensuring efficient project execution from the field level. She plays a critical role in translating project plans into actionable timelines while fostering communication and collaboration among project stakeholders. Beyond day-to-day operations, Lyndsey is passionate about developing her team through mentorship, training, and knowledge sharing, with a focus on teaching construction means and methods that help individuals strengthen their skills and grow professionally.
As one of the first women promoted to Superintendent at Holder Construction, Lyndsey has demonstrated resilience, confidence, and leadership while advancing her career in a traditionally male-dominated industry. 01What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
My advice to young women entering this industry is to know your material, remain committed to continuous learning, and build confidence in your expertise. It is important to advocate for yourself, establish healthy boundaries, and not tolerate behaviors that undermine your value or growth. Seek out and build relationships with other women who can provide support, guidance, and encouragement throughout your career journey. Most importantly, take the time to understand your strengths, trust your abilities, and approach every opportunity with confidence.
