Madhuri Chandoor
Madhuri Chandoor is a technology executive and founder with over two decades of experience building and scaling secure, high-reliability systems across payments, cloud infrastructure, and regulated enterprise environments. She is the Founder and CEO of PromptHalo, a cybersecurity startup launched in 2025 focused on protecting AI applications in production through runtime risk visibility, governance, and security. Drawing on her deep technical and product leadership background, she operates as a hands-on early-stage founder, bridging engineering, strategy, and product execution.
Prior to founding PromptHalo, Madhuri built a distinguished career at leading technology companies including PayPal, Visa, Amazon Web Services (AWS), and Capital One. Her work has spanned engineering, site reliability, observability, operations, and large-scale product management, with a strong emphasis on systems where security and correctness are mission-critical. At AWS, she played a key role in building a widely used payment cryptography service, contributing to foundational infrastructure for secure cloud-based payments. Across roles, she has consistently focused on designing resilient platforms and improving how complex systems operate at scale.
Madhuri’s professional philosophy centers on building security solutions that improve real-world user experiences while maintaining trust in increasingly autonomous systems. She emphasizes honesty, rigor, and hard work, and is driven by the impact of creating safer, more reliable technology for end users. Through PromptHalo, she extends this mission into the AI era—helping organizations understand and control how AI behaves in production environments, ensuring systems remain transparent, secure, and aligned with intent even after deployment.

What do you attribute your success to?
After 21 years in the field, Madhuri launched her own cyber security company, for AI applications where she wears every hat from strategist to engineer. Yet when asked about her proudest accomplishment, she doesn’t mention the business itself. Instead, she beams about the teams she’s built and the products they’ve created together. What truly drives her is solving problems that make people safer and more secure—seeing the real impact on someone’s life is what she finds most rewarding. Madhuri credits her success to her family, especially her husband; she calls them a great team who lift each other up. Her advice to young women stepping into tech? “Sometimes we question if we’re skilled enough or qualified enough. Jump in anyways—even if you’re not 100% comfortable. Embrace it. That’s where growth happens.”
