Her Story

About Manisha

I am the Founder and CEO of Coastara Solutions, where I am building ProgramOS™, a platform designed to simplify program and portfolio execution. Prior to entrepreneurship, I spent nearly a decade at Arista Networks in Silicon Valley, leading complex technology programs and cross-functional initiatives.

After relocating to Florida, I took a career break to focus on raising my daughter before re-entering the workforce through entrepreneurship, global volunteering, and leadership initiatives. Today, I help organizations improve execution, visibility, and operational effectiveness through technology and strategy.

I serve as a PMI Global Entrepreneurship Speaker and am a recipient of the 2026 Global Recognition Award for innovation, leadership, and business transformation. I am passionate about helping organizations turn complexity into clarity while encouraging more women to pursue leadership and entrepreneurship.

Ten minutes with Manisha

01What do you attribute your success to?

I attribute much of my success to my daughter, who has been my greatest teacher, inspiration, and source of strength. Raising her taught me lessons in leadership, resilience, prioritization, and execution that no classroom or corporate role ever could. Managing every aspect of our family life from school schedules and activities to household responsibilities gave me a new perspective on problem-solving, adaptability, and perseverance.

When I stepped away from my career to focus on my family, I never imagined that journey would ultimately shape me into an entrepreneur. As I prepared to re-enter the workforce, my daughter became my biggest cheerleader, constantly encouraging me to believe in myself and trust the process. Even the name of my company, Coastara Solutions, was inspired by conversations with her and her love for the beach and ocean.

Life has also brought its share of challenges, including the unexpected loss of my mother and unimaginable challenges with my health. During some of the most difficult moments of my life, my daughter gave me the strength to keep moving forward. Her optimism, kindness, and unwavering belief in me continue to remind me that success is not measured only by professional achievements, but also by the people who inspire us to become our best selves.

Today, as a founder, speaker, and leader, I carry those lessons with me every day. My daughter remains my greatest motivation and the reason I continue to pursue ambitious goals with confidence, resilience, and purpose.

02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?

The best career advice I have ever received is simple: keep going, even when you feel like giving up. Early in my career, my managers and mentors consistently reminded me to focus on the work rather than the outcome. Results do not always appear immediately, but consistent effort, learning, and perseverance eventually create opportunities and success.

One piece of advice that has stayed with me throughout my career came from a leader I deeply admired at: “Aim for the moon; you'll at least reach the stars.” Those words encouraged me to think beyond my immediate circumstances and not limit myself based on fear, uncertainty, or self-doubt.

That mindset has helped me navigate career transitions, entrepreneurship, personal challenges, and periods of uncertainty. Whether building a company, returning to the workforce after a career break, or pursuing ambitious goals, I have learned that success rarely comes overnight. It comes from showing up consistently, doing the work, and trusting the process.

Whenever things become difficult, I remind myself to keep moving forward. More often than not, the results eventually follow.

03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

My advice to young women entering technology or entrepreneurship is simple: stop waiting. Stop waiting for the perfect time, the perfect opportunity, or the moment when you feel completely ready.

The truth is that many of the best opportunities arrive before we feel qualified for them. Growth happens when we step outside our comfort zones, ask questions, learn continuously, and take on challenges that stretch us.

I would also encourage women to invest in building strong relationships and professional networks. Throughout my career, I have learned that networking, mentorship, and genuine connections often open doors that skills alone cannot.

Attend industry events, seek mentors, and surround yourself with people who inspire and challenge you to grow.

My own journey has included a career break, returning to the workforce, volunteering globally, and eventually launching my own company. Those experiences taught me that success is rarely a straight line. There will be personal challenges, professional setbacks, and moments of uncertainty. What matters is your ability to keep moving forward, adapt to changing circumstances, and continue creating value.

You do not need a perfect path to achieve meaningful success. You simply need the courage to take the next step and trust yourself to figure out the rest along the way.

04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?

One of the biggest challenges in technology and entrepreneurship today is customer acquisition. As founders, we often hear a great deal about fundraising, but in my experience, building a strong customer base comes first. If customers genuinely find value in your product and are willing to use it, support it, and advocate for it, funding becomes a much easier conversation. The real challenge is understanding customer needs, validating solutions, and earning that early trust and feedback.

At the same time, I see tremendous opportunities in the industry. Having spent much of my career in Silicon Valley before relocating to Jacksonville, Florida, I initially wasn't sure what to expect from the local technology ecosystem. However, I have been pleasantly surprised by the growth, innovation, and entrepreneurial energy in the region.

Through local networking events and startup communities, I have met founders building innovative solutions.

05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

The values that guide both my professional and personal life are integrity, resilience, continuous learning, and service to others.

Integrity is the foundation of everything I do. I believe trust is built through honesty, accountability, and consistently doing the right thing, even when no one is watching. Whether I am leading a program, building a company, or working with clients and volunteers, I strive to act with transparency and authenticity.

Resilience is another value that has shaped my journey. Life and career rarely follow a straight path. From navigating a career break and returning to the workforce to overcoming personal challenges and launching a startup, I have learned that perseverance and adaptability are often more important than perfection.

I also believe strongly in lifelong learning. Technology, business, and the world around us are constantly evolving, and staying curious allows us to continue growing both personally and professionally.

Finally, I value service and impact. Success is meaningful when it creates opportunities for others and leaves a positive impact on the people and communities around us. Whether through entrepreneurship, volunteering, mentoring, or speaking, I strive to use my experiences to help others grow and succeed.

At the heart of all these values is my family, especially my daughter, who reminds me every day of the importance of kindness, courage, and purpose.
