About Manjyot
Manjyot Chug serves as a technical grant writer and research communication specialist at the University of Delaware Center for Composite Materials in Newark, Delaware. She has been in this role for one and a half years after moving to academia from industry experience. With over seven years in her field, she leverages her PhD in biomedical engineering from the University of Georgia, along with an integrated master's degree from India and a brief postdoc at the same university, to help scientists craft compelling grant narratives and create scientific figures. In addition, she manages social media for the Center for Composite Materials and AM4Composites to promote research in composites and artificial intelligence. Chug has authored more than 30 research articles, with her work selected for journal covers three times. She received the Research Excellence Award during her PhD and the Outstanding Teaching Assistant Award while serving as a teaching assistant at the University of Georgia. She has been a member of the Society for Biomaterials and the American Chemical Society, and she volunteered as a judge for the Georgia Science Fair.
