Mariam Yacoub, PMP®, GPM PC® (She/Her) is a highly accomplished Technical Program Manager at RedCloud Consulting, currently supporting data center security and infrastructure initiatives for Google and Ritcloud. With over 14 years of experience across auditing, real estate construction, and data center operations, Mariam has developed deep expertise in physical security, telecom systems, network compliance, and risk mitigation. She began her career at Deloitte, spent nine years in real estate construction, and has spent the past six years leading large-scale data center programs at AWS and Google. Known for identifying operational gaps and implementing scalable solutions, Mariam thrives in fast-paced, high-risk environments while driving strategic initiatives on a global scale.
Mariam is recognized for her exceptional leadership and team development skills. She excels at mentoring and guiding teams, fostering collaboration across departments, and making informed decisions under pressure. Her ability to manage complex escalations and critical issues internationally, traveling approximately 50 percent of the time, demonstrates her adaptability and commitment to operational excellence. She holds a Bachelor of Business Administration with minors in Computer Science and Accounting from The American University in Cairo, School of Sciences and Engineering, complemented by studies at the University of Washington. Her professional certifications, including PMP®, Google Program Management, Schneider Electric, and multiple AWS credentials, along with her active membership in the Project Management Institute, underscore her technical expertise and commitment to continuous growth.
Beyond her professional achievements, Mariam is passionate about mentorship, inclusive leadership, and community engagement. She has been recognized as Director of Culture and Networking for a Black employee group at AWS and received the prestigious “LIE of the Quarter” award, one of only four recipients in company history. An accomplished photographer featured on King 5, she maintains a strong commitment to health and fitness, running daily regardless of conditions. Personal experiences, including the loss of her mother to leukemia, have shaped her perspective on leadership, empathy, and purpose. What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
My advice to young women entering this industry is to stay true to yourself and trust in the value of your unique voice, background, and perspective. Don’t be discouraged by a lack of representation your contributions matter and can make a real difference. Confidence comes with experience and consistency, so remain committed, keep learning, and believe in your ability to succeed.
