About Mariana
Mariana Guarin is a Creative Director specializing in advertising. She began her career in Venezuela in 2012, where she earned a degree in advertising, mass communication, and PR from a local college. After completing an internship and working at an agency there, she relocated to Chicago and gained experience at Leo Burnett on the Hispanic team before advancing to senior copywriter roles handling major brands including Kellogg's, Allstate, Facebook, Messenger, Purina, and Marshalls. She later transitioned to an in-house creative role at Whirlpool's WOW agency alongside her longtime partner, where she now serves as Creative Director managing global KitchenAid communications and leading creative teams. Guarin has received multiple Addy awards, nine El Ojo awards from Venezuela, and a nonprofit marketing achievement award for her UN Women campaign. She holds additional credentials from Harvard, including leadership training and an English business course. Outside of her professional work, she supports philanthropic efforts with Kitchen Possible and On Edge Shoes, an organization focused on mental health and suicide awareness.
