About Marie
Marie DiMenna serves as a therapist, minister, and author. In her therapy practice, she provides services to clients via online telehealth and at a nursing home. Her ministry work includes delivering a prayer video online every Saturday, leading Sunday services and worship services, and teaching a meditation class. She is the author of Fierce Compassion Devotion, a collection of poems from mystics and activists, and is preparing to publish Embracing the Emergence from Bipolar to Sacred Calling. Marie earned her bachelor's degree in psychology from the Catholic University of America in 2003 and her Master's of Social Work from the University of Kansas in 2010. She supports philanthropic efforts such as collecting funds for Skull Link Uganda, donating to and assisting with fundraising for the Lyft Garage in Minneapolis, and engaging with the New York Hall of Innocence program.

01What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
Just looking for what population you want to work with, knowing how much income you need to make in order to pay your bills and have some left over for savings and vacations, because that can be an issue in our field that some of the salaries are just really low. Encouraged her to look at different theories and see what resonates with her, like what type of therapy resonates, looking for mentors along the way.
