Her Interview
Ten minutes with Marissa
01What do you attribute your success to?
I attribute my success to my father, who has always been the hardest-working person I know. Watching him grow into his current role at Cumberland Farms taught me the value of dedication, perseverance, and earning success through consistent hard work.
02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
The best career advice I’ve ever received is simple: just breathe when I feel overwhelmed. Taking a moment to pause helps me regain perspective, stay calm under pressure, and approach challenges with a clear mind.
03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
I would encourage young women entering my industry to take opportunities when they arise, even if the starting pay is lower than expected. Those experiences often provide valuable learning, open doors for growth, and create a strong foundation for long-term career success.
04What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
The values that matter most to me in both my work and personal life are compassion, integrity, authenticity, and, above all, growth. I believe that treating others with kindness, staying true to my principles, and continuously learning and improving are the foundations of a meaningful and successful life.
