Q

What do you attribute your success to?

I attribute my success to my faith, resilience, and genuine commitment to serving others. I've stayed consistent, kept my feet at the center, and focused on building trust with the families I serve. In this field, you have to be self-motivated because nobody encourages you to do anything - it's something you choose to do. Every day, whatever bad news or noise is going on, you have to forget about all of that and stay focused. As a self-employed position, you have to be on top of your game and stay motivated so you can be successful in the field.

Q

What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?

The best advice I ever received is to find something I'm passionate about, something that solves a real problem, and learn it and master it. Passion gives you purpose, but mastery gives you confidence, and when you combine both, that's where the real impact happens.

Q

What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

I would encourage them to be motivated and confident in their abilities. This industry rewards consistency, discipline, and a willingness to keep learning. If you're approachable and you focus on building genuine relationships, people will do business with you and trust you. Before you know it, you'll be able to succeed and bloom in the position.

Q

What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?

The biggest challenge in my field right now is trying to convince people that when things are hard and the economy is changing, they need to prioritize protection, not just essentials like food and clothes. People feel those are the only essential things, but the challenge is to help them understand that problems may arise and they have to be prepared. Not all the time they're going to have a GoFundMe available for them, so if they put things in place, then when those difficult situations come, they will have something to rely on.

Q

What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

I'm going to say integrity and honesty, especially because clients trust me to help protect their families and finances, and that responsibility is something I take very seriously. I believe in being transparent, educating people clearly, and always doing what's right, even when no one is watching. When people know you do your best, then you don't have nothing to worry about.
