Q

What do you attribute your success to?

I attribute my success to the guidance, wisdom, and unwavering support of my mentors, Anne Schwertfeger and Margo Orthwein, whose belief in my potential pushed me to pursue excellence even when I doubted myself. Their leadership taught me the value of integrity, discipline, and service, while modeling what it means to lead with purpose and compassion. Through their example, I learned to embrace challenges as opportunities for growth, remain resilient in the face of adversity, and stay committed to continuous learning—principles that continue to shape my career and define my approach to leadership today.

Q

What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?

The best career advice I’ve ever received is to maintain a positive attitude no matter the role I’m in, lead with a smile, and stay focused on my own growth rather than distractions around me. I was encouraged to prioritize a healthy work–life balance, recognizing that sustained success depends on well-being as much as performance. Equally important was the reminder to be supportive of others, understanding that collaboration, kindness, and encouragement not only strengthen teams but also elevate leadership and long-term impact.

Q

What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?

One of the biggest challenges and opportunities in my field right now is staffing. Workforce shortages have placed increased demands on existing teams, requiring leaders to find innovative ways to recruit, retain, and support talent while maintaining quality and continuity of care. At the same time, this challenge presents an opportunity to reimagine staffing models, invest in professional development, and build more resilient, engaged teams that are better equipped to meet both current needs and future growth.

Q

What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

The value most important to me in both my work and personal life is helping others succeed. I believe true leadership is measured by the ability to uplift, support, and empower those around you to reach their full potential. By fostering collaboration, encouragement, and shared growth, I strive to create environments where individuals feel valued, confident, and motivated to succeed—both professionally and personally.
