Her Interview
Ten minutes with Megan
01What do you attribute your success to?
I attribute my success to faith, perseverance, and a genuine heart for serving others. Whether as a preschool teacher for 13 years, working in healthcare for over 13 years, modeling since the age of 22, or serving in my community since I was a teenager, I’ve always believed that success is about more than personal achievements—it’s about making a positive impact on people’s lives. My journey hasn’t always been easy, but I have remained committed to growth, purpose, and showing up with excellence in every space I enter. I believe consistency, resilience, and staying true to who I am have been key factors in my success.
02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
The best career advice I’ve ever received is to never let other people define my worth or determine my potential. I’ve learned that opportunities may come and go, but confidence, character, and integrity will always open doors that talent alone cannot. Staying authentic, continuing to learn, and trusting the process have allowed me to thrive in multiple fields—from education and healthcare to modeling and community service. When you walk in your purpose and remain faithful to your calling, success becomes a byproduct of the impact you make.
My goal has never been simply to be seen; it has always been to inspire, uplift, and leave every person and every community better than I found it.
03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
I just want to let young women know, if they're getting into the modeling industry, just be authentic. Just be you. If you're really serious about it, just present yourself in a positive light and know that you are art. You have to know your self-worth, and you have to have self-confidence if you're gonna be in this industry. I'm not defined by a single look or a single size or a single season. My journey is more than just pictures or being on the runway - it's about inspiring others to embrace who they are and walk completely boldly in their purpose, and understand that true beauty begins with authenticity. I don't just stand in front of a camera - I stand to represent strength, grace, and the power of becoming. For healthcare and being a mentor or entrepreneur, be true, be authentic. A lot of times, people get into stuff and they're proclaiming to be one person, and then all of a sudden they turn into another different person. All the way through, be you. Your identity speaks for itself without being loud. If your heart is in it, the compassion and everything, that's what speaks volumes, whether it's your business, your career, whatever you have going for yourself.
04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
In the modeling industry, I've seen so many different aspects where there's one type of standard like, oh, you have to look a certain way, you have to be this certain size, or certain height. I'm 5'4", so it's challenging when the industry has these rigid standards. But that's also the opportunity - to show that you don't have to fit into one mold. My statement is that I'm not defined by a single look or a single size or a single season. I'm basically a woman of depth who embodies elegance and purpose. My story is within confidence, and faith, and growth, and self-love.
05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
Authenticity is everything to me being true to who I am all the way through. My identity speaks for itself. Compassion is at the core of what I do. I have a big heart for healthcare and medical, and that compassion for loving what you do speaks volumes to others. I believe in treating people with respect, how I want to be treated. Even though I've been through plenty of storms in my life, that doesn't stop me from having a big heart and compassion for others. I try my best to be good to people. Everything I've gone through, I did not let it define me. I didn't let it stop me. Every trial and tribulation I have ever went through, I've just learned from it and kept going, and used it as a stepping stone. I allow God to continue to lead me and allow me to inspire other women, letting them know that you can put your mind to whatever you want to do, whether it's one career, two careers, just keep going and don't let anyone or anything stop you. Knowing my self-worth is essential - I've learned that through my experiences.
