Melanie Barrett

Melanie Barrett is a project controls and operations professional with 15 years of experience in construction, asset management, procurement, document control, vendor management, and global project delivery. She currently serves as Project Control Manager at Generis Collective, supporting major construction projects in Brownsville, Texas, including work on SpaceX-related builds such as a residential garage and K-12 school. Her career began 15 years ago as an executive assistant to the CEO of an owner's representative firm handling the Microsoft retail rollout. She progressed through roles at another design-build firm, serving as global production manager for Google retail development across Asia, Europe, Canada, and the US. Subsequent positions included project management for Tesla retail initiatives and advancement from project manager to asset manager at Cupertino Electric in the utilities division. After a five-year sabbatical, she returned to project controls work. She holds a bachelor's degree in International Business Administration.
