About Michelle

Michelle Clark is a marketing, communications, and business development executive with more than three decades of experience helping organizations strengthen their brands, expand strategic partnerships, and drive sustainable growth. As the founder and CEO of M3J Management, LLC, she leads a firm specializing in marketing, communications, sports, and entertainment, providing tailored branding and business development solutions across government, finance, energy, and entertainment sectors. Her career began with a foundation in Economic Government and early roles at organizations including the National Legal Aid & Defender Association and Lockheed Martin, where she developed expertise in federal contracting, customer service, research, and professional writing—skills that have remained central to her success.

Throughout her career, Clark has combined corporate leadership with entrepreneurial vision. In addition to founding M3J Management, she launched Sonos Sona Entertainment and a web communications firm, recognizing early that effective branding and strategic marketing are essential drivers of business success. Today, she also serves as Executive Director of Federal Alliances and Growth at Cornerstone OnDemand, where she helps advance workforce modernization initiatives across the federal government. A certified Project Management Professional (PMP), international best-selling co-author, sought-after speaker, and respected connector, Clark is known for building meaningful relationships, leading high-impact initiatives, and creating opportunities that deliver measurable results.

Beyond her professional accomplishments, Clark is deeply committed to mentorship, servant leadership, and community impact. She has contributed as a co-author on the challenges facing the sandwich generation, serves in leadership and advisory roles with several nonprofit and professional organizations, and was honored with the Presidential Lifetime Achievement Award for her decades of volunteer service. Whether mentoring the next generation of leaders, advocating for women in business, or helping her son build a career in sports management, Clark believes lasting success is built through authentic relationships, intentional leadership, and a commitment to opening doors for others. Her mission is to leave a legacy of service, empowerment, and opportunity for future generations.

Her Interview

Ten minutes with Michelle

01What do you attribute your success to?

I attribute my success to having a clear vision, remaining adaptable, staying curious, and committing to lifelong learning. Throughout my career, I have embraced every opportunity as a chance to grow, build meaningful relationships, and create impact. Most importantly, I believe authentic leadership is about empowering others, helping them recognize their potential, and leading with purpose and integrity.

02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?

The best career advice I ever received came from my mother, who taught me to pursue excellence with confidence, integrity, and resilience. She showed me that true leadership begins with knowing my purpose, listening to others, building genuine relationships, and never stopping my commitment to learning and personal growth.

03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

I encourage young women to pursue work they are genuinely passionate about and to build confidence through action rather than waiting for perfection. Be willing to step outside your comfort zone, stay curious, seek mentors, cultivate meaningful professional relationships, and embrace your authentic voice as your greatest leadership asset.

04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?

I believe we are in an exciting era where technology, digital communications, and personal branding have created unprecedented opportunities for women to lead, innovate, and build influence. While balancing professional and personal responsibilities and overcoming underrepresentation remain challenges, I see these as opportunities to redefine leadership through authenticity, continuous learning, collaboration, and purposeful mentorship.

05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

The values that guide both my professional and personal life are service, integrity, authenticity, mentorship, and empowerment. I strive to lead with purpose, invest in meaningful relationships, support the growth of others, and maintain balance through intentional self-care, always aiming to leave every person and organization stronger than I found them.
