Nakishia R. Freeman is the Founder and Executive Director of Freeprenuers, Inc., a nonprofit organization she launched more than a decade ago to empower teen girls through education, self-care, and confidence-building. Based in South Florida, Freeprenuers, Inc. delivers holistic programming that includes financial literacy, entrepreneurship training, mental health awareness, and its signature BraSense Purposely Fitted Teen Bra Program initiative, by fitting teen girls for a brand new bra and providing monthly hygiene items, which supports body confidence and breast health in a safe, judgment-free environment. Freeman’s work is rooted in the belief that when young women understand their worth, they are better equipped to thrive personally, academically, and professionally. Alongside her nonprofit leadership, Freeman has built a long-standing career as a Criminal Intelligence Analyst with the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office, where she has served for nearly three decades. Her professional background in Psychology and Public Service informs her people-centered leadership style—one grounded in listening, mentoring, and creating practical, community-based solutions. She also brings her creativity into the world as a jewelry design professional and through board service with The Pink Queen Foundation, Rooted Impact Collective, Inc. and Raw Academics Tutoring. Freeman’s impact has earned her significant recognition, including the 2024 Presidential Lifetime Achievement Award and selection as a Florida honoree for the Influential Women 2026 feature. Across every role she holds, she is guided by a commitment to authenticity, service, and helping others recognize their inherent value—encouraging every girl and woman she reaches to be a first-rate version of herself.

Q

What do you attribute your success to?

I attribute my success to teen girl because it's so very personal to me. I lived what many of the girls go through in this day and age, that allows me to share my experience with them so that they know that even when things happen in life they can still thrive through it.; when they thrive I thrive.

Q

What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?

Lead with integrity, walk in confidence and build positive character; and also protect your peace at all times.

Q

What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

I would tell young women to stop waiting and just do it. Write a letter to your future self-explaining why and how you’re going to succeed and use it as motivation when fear shows up—don’t be scared or nervous, because your future self will thank you for starting.

Q

What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

In both work and personal life, what's most important to me is my Faith, having peace and having healthy boundaries.
