About Nicole
Nicole Hicks is a Career Ownership Coach at The Entrepreneur's Source, where she helps professionals take control of their careers by exploring alternatives beyond the traditional employment path. Drawing on her background in finance, credit management, and business operations, she works with individuals who are experiencing burnout, career uncertainty, layoffs, or a desire for greater independence. Through a structured coaching process, Hicks guides clients in evaluating career transitions, business ownership, and additional income opportunities while aligning each decision with their personal goals for income, lifestyle, wealth, and long-term fulfillment. Her philosophy centers on empowering people to make informed choices that reflect their values rather than external expectations.
Before transitioning into coaching, Hicks built a successful career in corporate finance and credit management, holding leadership positions with organizations including The Entrepreneur's Source, Elite Roofing Supply, Allied Building Products, and Intermountain Wood Products. A graduate of the University of Utah's David Eccles School of Business with a Bachelor of Science in Finance, she developed expertise in financial risk management, commercial credit, relationship management, and operational leadership. Today, she combines that business acumen with coaching expertise to help professionals confidently navigate career changes, assess entrepreneurial opportunities, and build sustainable pathways toward greater career ownership.
Beyond her professional work, Hicks is deeply committed to community service and living a purpose-driven life. She serves on the board of the Restored Heart Collective, supporting spouses of veterans through healing retreats and community initiatives, and as treasurer for her local chapter of the Backcountry Horsemen of Utah, helping preserve trails and outdoor spaces for future generations. Together with her family, she also manages an off-grid ranch in rural Utah, reflecting her passion for self-sufficiency, stewardship, and intentional living. Through her coaching, leadership, and personal example, Hicks inspires others to embrace change, trust their strengths, and design careers and lives that align with what matters most.

I attribute my success to my children. They inspired me to overcome my fears and pursue a bold new path. I want to lead by example, showing them the importance of living fearlessly and chasing their dreams with confidence.
02What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
My advice to young women is to tune out external opinions and focus on what truly aligns with who you are. Take the time to reflect on your goals, trust your strengths, and pursue your passions with confidence rather than following someone else's expectations.
