What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?

The best career advice I’ve ever received is to remain persistent, keep learning, and trust that consistent effort will create the right opportunities over time. I also deeply value mentorship and the support of a professional community in shaping long-term success.

I’m especially grateful to my previous manager, Kabinga Pandey, who took a chance on me—an opportunity that eventually led me to my mentor, Sarah Dillon.

My advice to young women entering this industry is to begin with confidence and not let societal expectations or judgment limit your ambitions. Start taking action, even if it feels uncomfortable, and stay committed to building both your technical and communication skills.

Seek out mentorship, remain adaptable in a rapidly evolving field, and always support other women along the way.

What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?

One of the biggest challenges in my field is navigating a competitive and constantly evolving job market while ensuring my skills remain relevant. This includes effectively marketing my abilities, navigating recruiters, and understanding applicant tracking systems to connect with the right opportunities.

At the same time, there are significant opportunities for growth. Sectors such as healthcare, government, and digital transformation are expanding, offering a variety of career paths depending on specialization. For adaptable and well-skilled business analysts, the potential to make an impact across industries has never been greater.
