About Nya
I am a licensed therapist and mental health professional with a deep commitment to supporting individuals, families, and communities on their journey toward healing, resilience, and whole-person wellness. I currently serve as a Therapist at Chrysalis Behavioral Health Services and Training Center, a role I stepped into in May 2026, where I provide therapeutic services to clients and contribute to the organization's mission of delivering compassionate, evidence-based mental health care.
Alongside my clinical work, I have served as a Project and Event Specialist at The Luol Deng Foundation since July 2017, where I support the foundation's initiatives and community engagement efforts, bringing my organizational skills and passion for service to projects that make a meaningful difference in the lives of others.
Prior to my current role, I served as a Mental Health Therapist at EOSIS for over a year, where I specialized in addiction recovery and group therapy, helping clients navigate the challenges of substance use and co-occurring mental health conditions. I also served as a Clinical Therapist at Youthworks in North Dakota for over a year, where I provided therapeutic services to youth and families in the Fargo area, utilizing evidence-based modalities including cognitive behavioral therapy to support emotional and behavioral well-being.
Earlier in my career, I served as Program Manager at Dacotah Foundation for over a year, where I managed programs and initiatives that supported individuals and families in the Fargo community, developing my skills in program oversight, client engagement, and community partnership.
Across my career in mental health, program management, and community service, my work has been driven by a belief that healing is possible and that everyone deserves access to compassionate, effective mental health care. Whether I am providing therapy to individuals in recovery, managing community programs, or supporting the work of a foundation, I bring empathy, clinical expertise, and a steadfast commitment to helping people build healthier, more fulfilling lives. I am honored to do this work and to contribute to the well-being of the communities I serve.
