Her Interview
Ten minutes with Paige
01What do you attribute your success to?
I attribute my success to my strong work ethic, the values instilled in me by my military family, and my passion for treating people with dignity and respect. I am motivated by identifying gaps, improving processes, and making sure good people are doing meaningful work. I am also grateful for the blessings, mentorship, and great people who have shaped my journey.
02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
The best career advice I’ve received from a mentor is, “If you can weather the storm, you’ll have a good war story to tell.” It taught me to stay resilient, push through challenges, and trust that difficult experiences can ultimately become valuable lessons.
03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
My advice to young women entering the industry is to seek opportunities that build your résumé, expand your skills, and strengthen your wheelhouse. Your path will become clearer as you gain experience and learn what you’re passionate about. It will take hard work, but it will be worth it—keep that in mind and stay committed to your growth.
04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
One of the biggest challenges in my field is finding the right people who share our passion and commitment to the work every day. We also face budgetary challenges due to state funding deficits, which can make it more difficult to meet the needs of those we serve effectively.
05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
The values most important to me are integrity, honesty, and hard work. I am also very solution-focused, which I consider one of my strongest assets because I believe every challenge comes with an opportunity to find a solution.
