About Pamela
Pamela McCoy is a seasoned quality systems professional with over 20 years of experience in the automotive industry, specializing in plastics, metals, and manufacturing systems. Currently a Senior Quality Engineer at Cooper Standard, Pamela brings a deep expertise in global quality systems, internal and lead auditing, and regulatory compliance. She holds certifications in IATF 16949 and ISO 9001, and has led layered process audits (LPAs) across 29 international facilities. Her work spans supplier development, PPAP submissions, APQP training, and gap analyses, ensuring operational consistency and customer satisfaction with more than 20 OEM and Tier 2 suppliers.
Pamela’s career is rooted in a strong foundation of environmental health and safety, with early roles managing large-scale emergency response projects, including site supervision during the Gulf of Mexico oil spill. She has worked for major automotive suppliers such as DLH Bowles, ABC Technologies, and AAM, mastering everything from systems integration to foam and plastic component quality. Known for her technical writing skills and commitment to knowledge sharing, Pamela excels at training teams, mentoring new professionals, and ensuring lessons learned are turned into lasting improvements. The automotive field is always changing. There are always oppotunities if you really look for them.

Ethics and honesty. It's seldom easy to do the right thing, but it's always worth it.
