Phyllis W. Brown is a Life Coach and Founder of Life Unlimited Holistic Coaching, based in Huntsville, Alabama. She holds a bachelor’s degree in psychology and a master’s degree in counseling psychology from Alabama A&M University, and earned her Professional Life Coach Certification from Alabama State University. Phyllis brings extensive experience as a mental health therapist working with adults, children, families, and adolescents, including addiction therapy and crisis support. The best career advice I’ve ever received was to continue my education as a way to advance my career. Lifelong learning has allowed me to grow professionally, expand my opportunities, and better serve those I work with.

What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

My advice to young women entering the industry is to stay true to yourself and listen—both to others and to your own instincts. Embrace every opportunity, approach others without judgment, and remain open and adaptable to change. Continuous learning and personal evolution are key to long-term growth and success.

What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

The values most important to me in my work and personal life are balance, mindfulness, and service to others. I value staying grounded through outdoor activities and meditation, and I find purpose in giving back by teaching Sunday school and supporting my community.
