Her Interview

Ten minutes with Precious

01What do you attribute your success to?

I attribute my success to first God, then my journey as the founder of Jones Productions and my experiences building from the ground up in an HBCU environment. What started as conversations and small campus initiatives grew into a production company that reflects my vision, persistence, and commitment to storytelling. My growth has also been shaped by my transition from student leadership to entrepreneurship and expanding my work into larger creative spaces.

02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?

The best career advice I’ve received is that I can make a difference and that my dreams are achievable if I stay committed to them. That encouragement reinforced my belief in my own potential and motivated me to continue building my career in film and media.

03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

I would tell young women that it is possible to build a career you truly love. Passion, creativity, and persistence can open doors in the film and media industry, and you should not be afraid to pursue what excites you. No matter the tribulations you endure always persevere God will never fail you keep going.

04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?

One of the biggest opportunities in my field is gaining greater exposure and visibility as a creative professional and founder. Being in a growing role means there is room to expand my reach, build partnerships, and increase impact within the film and media industry.

05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

The most important value to me is making an impact & helping my community especially young black minorities like myself who needs that creativity fostered. I am deeply influenced by the mentors who have guided me along the way, and I strive to carry that forward by creating meaningful opportunities and contributing positively through my work in media and storytelling.
