Q

What do you attribute your success to?

I attribute my success to a strong foundation built over more than 30 years of clinical experience, a commitment to evidence-based practice, and a passion for empowering others. Specializing in cognitive-behavioral therapy, trauma, forensic psychology, and women’s leadership—along with advanced EMDR training—has allowed me to serve a diverse adult population with depth and effectiveness. My work as an author, speaker, and clinician, coupled with ongoing professional recognition, reflects a lifelong dedication to learning, service, and meaningful impact in the field of psychology.

Q

What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

I would encourage young women to intentionally develop strong, positive professional skills and to recognize the value they bring to their work. Women often understate their achievements, so it’s important to learn how to confidently communicate your accomplishments and advocate for yourself. Effectively sharing your successes with leadership is not self-promotion—it’s a necessary part of professional growth and career advancement.

Q

What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

The values most important to me in both my work and personal life are transparency and accountability. I strive to be open and honest in my professional interactions while taking responsibility for my actions. These principles guide how I approach my work and how I build trust and meaningful connections with others.
