Priyanka Shelar: Even when the path feels uncertain, don't self-doubt or fear of failure stop you from pursuing opportunities.
What does being an Influential Woman mean to you?
Priyanka Shelar: Being an influential woman means, like using my experience and journey to create more opportunities for others, I would say, as a woman in technology and a mother. I understand the importance of perseverance, continuous learning, supporting one another, so I hope to inspire more women to pursue careers in data, AI and technology, and to remind them that their voices, ideas, and leadership truly matter. For me, influence is not about title, it's about impact, mentorship and helping others succeed.
What's one piece of advice you would give to younger women chasing their dreams?
Priyanka Shelar: So one piece of advice like I would give to younger women chasing their dream is to believe in yourself. Even when the path feels uncertain, don't self-doubt or fear of failure stop you from pursuing opportunities. I feel that growth happens outside of our comfort zone, and every challenge is an opportunity to learn and become more stronger. Also remember that success doesn't happen overnight. Be patient with yourself, keep learning, and don't compare your journey to someone else's. Surround yourself with people who support and like inspire you, and never hesitate to ask for help or seek mentorship. Most importantly, Know that your voice matters, your ideas matter, and you absolutely belong in any room where decisions are being made. Dream big, work hard, and never underestimate the impact you can have.

01What do you attribute your success to?
I attribute my success to continuous learning, resilience, and the support of mentors, colleagues, and family who have encouraged me throughout my journey. I believe in staying curious, embracing challenges, and helping others grow along the way. Most importantly, I strive to combine technical excellence with empathy and collaboration to create meaningful impact through technology.
02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
The best career advice I’ve ever received is: “Never stop learning, and don’t be afraid to step outside your comfort zone.” Throughout my career, embracing new challenges and continuously investing in my skills has opened doors to opportunities I never imagined. I’ve learned that growth happens when you are willing to adapt, stay curious, and believe in your ability to learn something new.
03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
My advice to young women entering the technology industry is to stay curious, believe in your abilities, and never stop learning. Don't be afraid to ask questions, seek mentors, and take on challenges that push you outside your comfort zone. Your unique perspective is valuable, and success is not about knowing everything from the start—it's about being willing to learn, adapt, and support others along the way.
Most importantly, don't underestimate yourself. Be confident, speak up, and remember that you belong in every room where decisions are being made.
04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
One of the biggest opportunities in my field is the rapid advancement of AI and cloud technologies, which are transforming how organizations use data to drive innovation and better decision-making. At the same time, one of the biggest challenges is ensuring responsible AI adoption through strong data governance, security, and AI literacy. As technology evolves, organizations must balance innovation with trust, transparency, and ethical use of data to create sustainable impact.
05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
Integrity, continuous learning, empathy, and collaboration are the values that guide both my professional and personal life. I believe in doing the right thing, treating people with respect, and approaching challenges with curiosity and a growth mindset. I also value giving back through mentorship and knowledge sharing, because I believe success is most meaningful when we help others grow along the way.
