With a foundation in engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur, and an MBA in Finance from Southern Methodist University, Rachna combines analytical rigor with operational insight to create high-performing organizations. Her career began in IT and corporate finance, including roles at AT&T and the SMU Cox School of Business, where she honed her skills in structure, logic, and data-driven decision-making.

In 2014, Rachna transitioned from corporate predictability to entrepreneurship, founding her first childcare business, The Learning Experience, in North Texas. Today, she owns and operates four high-performing childcare centers across Plano, McKinney, Castle Hills, and Frisco, serving hundreds of families annually and leading over 75 educators. She has successfully integrated AI tools into operations, from enrollment forecasting to billing, allowing her teams to focus on what matters most: nurturing and teaching children. Her approach emphasizes aligning people, systems, and culture to drive sustainable growth while maintaining the human heartbeat at the center of every process.

The best career advice I’ve received is to pivot quickly and keep moving forward whenever I encounter failure. Adaptability and resilience are critical in navigating challenges and seizing opportunities.

My advice to young women entering this field is to maintain independence and confidence. Don’t allow fear or reliance on others—particularly male figures—to dictate your decisions or limit your potential.

Some of the biggest challenges in my field include high turnover, hiring the right talent, and finding clients who align with your business vision. At the same time, these challenges present opportunities to innovate processes, implement AI-driven systems, and strengthen team culture to achieve sustainable growth.
