Her Story

About Reina

My name is Reina Tetteh. Your passionate storyteller, student leader, and aspiring CPA with roots that span two nations and two flags: Ghana 🇬🇭 and the United States 🇺🇸.

🎓Currently, I’m pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting with a double minor in Business Administration and University Honors at Middle Tennessee State University. My academic journey is fueled by curiosity, a love for learning, and a strong commitment to growth and excellence.

🖋️ Writing is my gift and my calling. From poetry to panels, fiction to formal reports, I write everything and anything. I’ve served as an executive of The Writing Spree Club for five years and previously worked at Ingram Content Group,a book company, fittingly enough. It’s no coincidence that storytelling runs through my veins.

🎙️ Leadership is my platform. As a Senator of the 88th Congress of MTSU’s Student Government Association, I strive to be a voice for students on the floor, on stage, or in interviews. Whether I’m hosting or being hosted, I show up with purpose.

💼 Vision meets drive. I’m on a clear path toward a Certified Public Accountant(CPA) certification, with a passion for translating my talents into professional excellence. My work ethic is defined by consistency, reflection, and transformation.

Ten minutes with Reina

01What do you attribute your success to?

I attribute my success to God, first of all and secondly to the strategic human connections that I am surrounded with.

02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?

You are not too young to have a successful career, and you can do anything you put your mind to.

03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

To aspiring writers and student leaders, the main goal is purpose and impact. These two come from working on personal development and mentorship from individuals in this field. Maximize LinkedIn to your maximum best. Through this medium, you can network and learn from others.

In addition, your unique story is the gate way that leads another person into the path of purpose. So don’t give up. Keep showing up, and remember, "You are wonderfully made to live for a purpose and you cannot afford to not shine."

04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?

The biggest challenge in the writing industry is consistently providing written content to your target audience. It takes a lot of time and effort. Overcoming this challenge is seeing it as an opportunity to inspire at least just one person.

05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
