Ten minutes with Ruchira

01What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?

I've always been asked by my loved ones to not hesitate to go after my passion, because what you're good at and what you're naturally interested in, you will put your 100% into it. I wholeheartedly agree with that and it helps me stay persistent even with uncertainty.

02What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

Find the niche that's good for you because there's a lot of opportunity. Bring multiple different skill sets to make a more fruitful practice. There's opportunity for women leaders who need a safe space, and young women entering the field can provide that.

03What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?

The biggest challenge is that coaching is quite unregulated and there's still a lot of questions about what makes a good coach. Opportunities come from being part of ICF to constantly learn and show clients you're improving, and building better systems.
