Sabrina Robertson, Ed.S.: Speaker: Sabrina Robertson, CEO of SDC Consulting, LLC, SDC Consulting LLCWhat does being an Influential Woman mean to you?Sabrina Robertson: Being an influential women means using my voice, my experience, and my purpose to create opportunities for others to grow. As an early child educator and founder of SDC Consulting LLC. I see influence in everyday moments when I help a teacher feel capable, support a parent who feels overwhelmed, or advocate for a child whose needs have been misunderstood. For me, influence carries responsibility. It means leading with compassion, standing firm in my values, and reminding other women that they can honor their own needs while making a difference. After more than 35 years in early child education, my purpose continues to grow, empower educators, strengthen families, and protects every child's right to learn through play and relationships. I don't chase validation, I chase legacy. I want my work to leave people feeling seen, supported, and confident enough to use their own voices. What's one piece of advice you would give to younger women chasing their dreams?Sabrina Robertson: My advice to younger women chasing their dreams is this: Don't wait for someone else's approval to believe in yourself. You can spend years trying to prove your worth and forget that you already have something valuable to offer. Your voice, your ideas, and your experience matter. Take the next step, even if you feel nervous. Ask for mentorship, keep learning, and surround yourself with people who encourage your growth. Give yourself grace when things don't go as planned, but keep showing up for your purpose and protect your peace along the way. You can care deeply for others while making room for your own dreams. I often say, I don't chase validation. I chase legacy. Build a life and a body of work that reflects what matters to you.

Her Interview

Ten minutes with Sabrina

01What do you attribute your success to?

I attribute my success to faith, clear goals, and consistent action. Each year, I write down specific goals that serve as my blueprint. Keeping them visible reminds me where I’m going and holds me accountable. I don’t just dream about success, I create a plan, work toward it daily, and remain committed even when progress takes time.

02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?

The best career advice I’ve received is to remain resilient and never be afraid to pivot. Every season will not be easy, but a difficult day does not define your journey. Learn from every experience, adjust when necessary, and trust that tomorrow brings another opportunity to grow.

03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

Follow your dreams, but understand that dreams require courage, preparation, and consistent action. There will be moments when the path feels uncertain, but do not allow fear or other people’s limitations to stop you. Everything I am doing today once felt impossible. Believe in your purpose, keep learning, build meaningful relationships, and remain committed, even when progress is slow. Dreams do come true when you are willing to work for them.

04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?

One of my biggest challenges as a small business owner is balancing great ideas with limited time. I’ve learned to prioritize what matters most, give myself grace, and collaborate with like-minded people.

05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

Integrity. I believe in treating others the way I want to be treated with kindness, compassion, and respect. You never truly know what someone may be going through, so I strive to lead with empathy in every interaction.
