Her Interview
Ten minutes with Saleemah
01What do you attribute your success to?
I attribute my success to curiosity, resilience, and an unwavering belief that technology should solve real-world problems. Every challenge presents an opportunity to build something better, and every setback offers lessons that shape stronger solutions. I believe meaningful innovation comes from listening, adapting, and remaining committed to creating lasting value for the people, businesses, and communities we serve. Success isn't measured solely by what we build, but by the positive impact it creates for others.
02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
One of the best pieces of career advice I ever received came from a leader who believed that great organizations are built by understanding people first. She introduced our team to personality assessments, not to label us, but to better understand our individual strengths and place us in roles where we could thrive. That experience taught me that success isn't about fitting everyone into the same mold—it's about recognizing each person's unique abilities and creating opportunities for them to excel. It's a philosophy I continue to apply as a leader today.
03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
Don't let the belief that you need to know everything keep you from getting started. Technology is constantly evolving, and some of the most impactful innovations come from people who see problems differently. Stay curious, keep learning, ask questions, and don't be afraid to challenge conventional thinking. Build with purpose, surround yourself with people whose strengths complement your own, and remember that resilience is just as important as technical skill. The future of technology needs more diverse perspectives, bold ideas, and leaders who are committed to creating solutions that make a meaningful difference.
You don't have to be great to get started, but you have to get started to be great.
04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
One of the biggest opportunities in technology today is making artificial intelligence more practical, accessible, and responsible. While AI is advancing at an incredible pace, many organizations are still struggling to integrate it into their daily operations in ways that deliver measurable value. The challenge isn't simply adopting new technology—it's implementing solutions that are secure, scalable, and designed to solve real business and community needs. I believe the future belongs to organizations that embrace innovation thoughtfully, prioritize responsible AI, and build technology that enhances human potential rather than replaces it.
05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
Integrity, curiosity, resilience, and service are the values that guide both my professional and personal life. I believe innovation should always be grounded in purpose, and that success is measured not only by what we accomplish, but by the positive impact we have on others. I value continuous learning, authentic relationships, and creating opportunities that empower people, strengthen communities, and leave a lasting legacy. Whether I'm leading a company or supporting a community initiative, I strive to lead with integrity, collaborate with purpose, and never stop learning.
