Sanjana Wadhwa
Sanjana W. is a dynamic technology professional and Wharton MBA candidate with a rich background in software engineering and product prototyping at top-tier tech companies including Apple, Google, and Nvidia. During her seven-year tenure at Apple, she contributed to pioneering zero-to-one product categories, most notably Apple Vision Pro, and played a key role in shaping AR/VR applications and user experiences. Beyond her technical contributions, Sanjana has been an active mentor and community builder, founding internal programs like VPG Lunch & Learn and participating in Apple’s mentorship initiatives to promote inclusivity and collaboration in tech.
Before Apple, Sanjana honed her skills at Google and Nvidia, developing innovative visualization tools and graphics algorithms that contributed to cutting-edge research in computer graphics and vision-based technologies. She holds a Master of Science in Computer Science from The Ohio State University, where she also served as a teaching assistant, and has completed additional professional development through Stanford Continuing Studies. Her work spans computer vision, user experience, and software development, with contributions recognized through patents and high-profile industry publications.
Sanjana is also a passionate public speaker and mentor, sharing her experiences at conferences, alumni events, and within tech communities to inspire the next generation of engineers and innovators. Now pursuing her MBA at The Wharton School, she continues to focus on combining technical expertise with business acumen to drive innovation, inclusivity, and leadership in technology. What do you attribute your success to?
I attribute my success to my drive to contribute to something bigger, including my work on Apple Vision Pro, and my dedication during my time at Apple until July 2025.
What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
The best career advice I’ve ever received is to get involved in clubs and communities—being active in groups like the Women in Business Club and the Food and Wine Club has helped me build connections and develop leadership skills, especially through organizing workshops.
What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
My advice to young women entering my industry is to never stop learning; I’m currently pursuing my MBA at Wharton, with a projected graduation in 2027, and the journey has been invaluable for growth and opportunity.
What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
The biggest challenge—and opportunity—in my field right now is keeping up with ever-changing technology, which can be demanding but incredibly rewarding.
What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
The most important value to me in both my work and personal life is supporting and empowering women in tech.
