Her Story
About Sara
I started my career in sales in June 2020 during COVID at a construction company in Rochester, New York, while simultaneously finishing my master's degree in strategic leadership and business. As one of three sales reps, I handled all of Western New York and several other states. In 2021, I moved to New York City and joined Enigma, a fintech startup, as the first person on their business development team. It was incredibly exciting because we were building out the entire function and go-to-market motion from scratch. I spent almost three and a half to four years at Enigma, starting in business development and sales, doing outreach, sales activities, and events. Then I transitioned to sales operations, and eventually moved into revenue operations when we brought on our first CRO. In that role, I focused on total company revenue and cross-departmental projects spanning customer success, marketing, support, and product teams. In January 2025, I joined Keep It, a SaaS company based in Copenhagen with about 500 to 600 people. My role is global, and I started working closely with the VP of Customer Success and VP of Business Development on building out the renewals team, the expand motion, and creating playbooks and outreach guidelines for SDRs and BDRs. About seven months ago, I was promoted into my current role in global channel operations. We're a partner-first company, so all the channel operations live with me. I handle internal operations with a heavy focus on data and analytics, revenue, and forecasting that I report to senior leadership and the board. Externally, I work on how we integrate our products with partners and support regions at different maturity levels.

Ten minutes with Sara
01What do you attribute your success to?
I attribute a lot of my success to my parents, my mom and my dad, who did an amazing job raising all four of us to always strive for more and seek more, and to learn from one another. They instilled in us this drive to do good and be good. Being the youngest of my siblings gave me a huge advantage because I saw them as my role models and learned from what they went through. I feel like I cut through a lot of the challenges because I could see their experiences and learn from their mistakes, so I didn't have to make as many misses as they did. My three siblings mean the world to me. And I cannot go without saying my husband. I think he is my biggest fan and has been my really big support, especially living away from home and managing being in two different worlds all at once, trying to be everywhere at once. Sometimes I feel bad that I'm away from my family and friends, but at the same time, we're building a life here together. He has just been my rock. I don't think I would have gotten this far without his support, emotionally, mentally, all of that, being my biggest support system here.
02What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
I like the saying that says leap and the net will appear. I think a lot of times we try to make very calculated decisions, just overthinking decisions. Do the best that you can with what you have, but also always seek more. Ask questions. I don't care if you're the youngest person in the room. If you're respectfully asking questions, just show curiosity. Curiosity is a big thing. Don't just be content with one answer. Try to get to the bottom of things, try to ask why, and why again, and try to understand. Utilize the people around you. Everyone is busy, for sure, and everyone's got a lot on their plate, yes, but five to ten minutes to ask a question or have someone show you something is really not that big of a deal, and it will help you in more ways than you can think. So be curious, ask questions, don't be content with where you are, but always see the opportunities in things or create your own opportunities. Don't be afraid to use your voice or highlight your strengths and your skills. No one's gonna do that for you, so you have to be your biggest advocate.
